Political Crap

Oh man. Anyone see the presidential debate last night? All I gots to say is BUSH MUST GO. Talk about slow. I swear, a pause between every two words. And my god, everything he said seemed to be repeated twelve times throughout the debate. Meanwhile, Kerry seemed to be doing great. During Bush's ungodly drawn-out speeches, he seemed to be writing a novel over there. Or perhaps a hit list? "Note to self: KILL BUSH." XD

Honestly, I have no idea where Bush gets his support from. I don't really like Kerry either, but people would rather vote Bush?! AHHH! It really is an election for the lesser of two evils, but if I could vote, I'd be going for Kerry.

Just to make things clear, I'm not really a Democrat. Neither am I a Republican. Rather, I'm a big supported of Independents and Greens. But third party is probably the most retarded thing you could do in this election.

So, uh... VOTE KERRY.

Third party? Retarded? Hrm...*this* election is no more important than any other, not really. Any president, anytime, could cause a major mess - there is always something big and important going on. If there isn't, something can be invented.
Is the concept of a third party itself, then, retarded? Do you really like having to always choose between the lesser of two evils? I guess not, since you support...I don't think Independent is technically a party. The Green party, then.
...I hear a lot of nonsense about all these people not voting, "If they would just vote..." If we can have such optimistic feelings about what would happen if all these non-voters voted, why are we so pessimistic about voting for the third party? Is support actually that small, are is everyone terrified of "Throwing their vote away"?
Hm.

Well, the thing about third parties in this election is that Bush has actually been supporting them. That peeves me off, because he knows that a third party vote puts one more Kerry vote out of the picture. Tricky Republican. I really just hate Bush, but that's just me.

What's the point of voting, though, if you can't vote for who you want to be president? Isn't that the point of our "democracy"(coughRepubliccough)? Personally, I'm not concerned if Hitler supported third parties - just because my enemy likes something, isn't reason enough for me to hate it, any more than(Moore, for example?) someone sharing an enemy HAS to be my ally. If Kerry loses this election, it won't be to third party votes - he actually lost some support allowing rabid dogs to represent him(Moore).
By the way, your vote has already been counted in the manner that matters. Your electoral representative, who, to make this perfectly clear, REPRESENTS YOUR VOTE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE, can vote for whoever he or she wants to, in the vast majority of states. We live in a Republic, not a Democracy, as far as the presidential race goes. Actually, as far as everything goes. Most people think we live in a democracy(Your vote elects the president, rather than the people who elect the president). We don't. This big fanfare of events to follow is nothing but a poll. If you live in a state with...actually, you are probably right to some degree. Even if everyone did vote third party in this election, the electoral college has already been constructed. Out of mostly Democrats and Republicans. And...well, they'll probably vote for whoever they want to. And they get away with it because most people don't look up who their representative voted for. Oh well.
